Gathering of the Scots Festival
June 6th-9th, 2024

We are proud to announce a special performance at the Gathering of the Scots in 2024 by the Neqotkuk Drummers.
Representation of our First Nation Peoples will be celebrated at the Gathering of the Scots Official Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, June 8th at noon (Veteran’s Field in Perth-Andover) along with a premiere indigenous drumming performance at 11:20 AM by the Neqotkuk Drummers.
Tobique First Nation (Neqotkuk) is one of six Wolastoqiyik or Maliseet Nation
reserves in New Brunswick, Canada. Tobique is the largest rural Wolastoqiyik
and Maliseet Nation reserves in NB with a population of approximately 2500.
Wolastoqiyik means people of the beautiful river, people that have occupied this traditional territory since time immemorial.
